Employer posting requirements under New Jersey law

With the start of 2011, most employers have received notice of their legal obligations to post notices relating to New Jersey law. Most commonly are those posters that identify Wage & Hour laws, discrimination, Family Leave Act, Workers Compensation, Unemployment and Disability laws, as well as Whistleblower laws. Any employer who fails to post these notices in a conspicuous and open manner may be subject to a monetary fine. Word of warning to all – Get those Posters up before its too late. The fact that the posters are up helps the employer avoid liability by providing an open and clear path to reporting illegal conduct, or providing basic information for the employee to help them should the need arise.
